Bottled water sucks.
Beth Terry at Fake Plastic Fish has snapped Jackson Brown ranting about why bottled water sucks.
I couldn't agree with Beth - or Browne - more.
Bottled water really sucks.
I haven't bought bottled water for - it is years now? It's certainly months. And now, as part of my Water Challenge, I don't buy drinks in any form of single use plastic packaging. I'm best friends with my stainless steel water bottle, and happier than ever.

Maybe I'm been a bit of a smart alec but given the amount of carbon emissions he must put into the atmosphere when he tours, I think bottled water is the least of his worries.
Having said that, I think parts of that video should be used in a world wide ad campaign. I do like the idea of the 'This Water has been Declined' tags. Maybe we could start guerrilla taging Botlled water in the shops. The only problem would be not getting caught and banned from the shops.
Good for you! Love my recycled bottles and the filter jug makes the water taste cleaner...strange i know, but bottled water tastes dirty to me.

I totally agree - ban this plastic nonsense! It is something that will outlive us all too! I did a blog August 31st "Let's Do Lunch" on all the things we could eliminate - plastic bottles at the top of the list!
Hi Knutty Knitter - I'm right with you. I can't see the point either. But I can't say I've never bought it. What I *can* say is I've never bought it recently - and NEVER intend to buy it again!
Hi Nevyn - Good point! But in the end, we're all hypocrites, aren't we? But I do think he's absolutely right. I like the idea of tagging "declined" water too!
I drink tap water and am proud of it!
Hi Miss 40 - (Love the username!) - I've got used to drinking from a stainless water bottle now, and drinking from plastic just tastes....horrible. I don't like drinking from plastic cups either, so I know exactly where you're coming from.
Tap water is good enough for me! :-)

Starting with plastic water bottles and plastic wrapped bananas and cucumbers (!!).
And do you agree that chopping up apples (which have a ready-made wrapping called SKIN) and then treating them in chemical so they don't go brown (that's what the SKIN was for!) then packaging them in PLASTIC and calling them a "natural treat" is DUMB???
I think that rates as one of the stupider things people have come up with!
We humans have a looooong way to go before we can call ourselves intelligent. We're getting there, slowly, but we're definitely a work in progress!
